Tuesday Night - What is a communicable disease?
1. Activating Strategy: Copy and post this to Edmodo as a "Status" and send it toME... smithsj or Samantha Smith or Mrs. Smith Write about the last time that you had a cold. Include a list of the symptoms you experienced. Explain how you caught the cold and what you did to treat it.
2. Post your Response to the following question to the class and reply to at least two of your classmates' responses, discussing their replies further. "Why you should know about communicable diseases?"
3. Check out the Immune System PPT/jpgs in Edmodo Library/Folder/Backpack entitled - Communicable Diseases. Use what you learn from the PPT and the video links attached in the PPT/PDF to answer the questions of this sheet to reflect your understanding of the process of Immune System.
4. Print and complete the following worksheet or digital complete your answers via Edmodo or upload to Google Docs and share to smithsj or Samantha Smith.
Wednesday Night - What's your favorite Communicable Disease and why?
1. Disease Glog or Poster or Prezi - Due Friday in class to share during our PM session. Details for Disease Report are in the attachment. Submit your notes (on the attachment via Google Docs with a link to your Glog/Prezi at the top or bring in your Poster Presentation on Friday) Mrs. Smith's Glog
Will attach all documents and necessary info in the Library on Edmodo. Note: I am changing the folder and it's content.
Thursday Night - How do Communicable Diseases affect out population?
1. A. Complete the following worksheet on your own or share to a friend via Google Docs then to me. (if working with a partner, share to them and to me.) If you complete on your own submit as an assignment in Edmodo.
B. Post on Edmodo to the Class - Summer 2012 - something you found interesting or from the Comparing Infections WS.
2. A. Complete the "Attack of the Super Bug" Activity about MRSA. Submit to the Assignment via Google Docs entitled... SuperBug and the last names of the people in your group... ex. SuperBugSmithSummer2010
Complete the worksheet on Google... share to me. Post your top choice and your last choice and reply to at least 4 classmates about their choices (in agreement or rebuttal).
Your top choice poll has be posted. I will post part 2 later this evening.
